I remain hopeful as Ignorance may be overcome. Sometimes at great cost 
and many tears. Sometimes it takes some years and some life experience 
to understand that if one is getting a butt kicking, it's actually tough 
love. If it can become viewed in that light and accepted, then change is 
possible. It's the introspection, followed with acceptance, part that is 
the hardest. Therein comes wisdom.
