problems with Flash Ubuntu 11.10 (resolved)

I finally figured out how to resolve the Flash problem I was having.
I was unable to play imbedded videos like PBS offers.  I had Flash 10
(version 11) installed.  Some comments on Software center suggested
removing Gnash and others said to install hal.

Neither worked for me.  I tried Flash plugin for Mozilla and that
worked in Firefox and Chrome, both the latest versions.

I hope this helps someone avoid a lot of hassle.
