Hi
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 and now tried the first time to up-date. I'm still
very new to Ubuntu and still learning the ins and outs
But now trying to update I get the following message
W:Failed to fetch cdrom://Ubuntu 11.10 _Oneiric Ocelot_ - Release i386
(20111012)/dists/oneiric/main/binary-i386/Packages Please use apt-cdrom to
make this CD-ROM recognized by APT. apt-get update cannot be used to add new
CD-ROMs
, W:Failed to fetch cdrom://Ubuntu 11.10 _Oneiric Ocelot_ - Release i386
(20111012)/dists/oneiric/restricted/binary-i386/Packages Please use
apt-cdrom to make this CD-ROM recognized by APT. apt-get update cannot be
used to add new CD-ROMs
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones
used instead.
I issued the command apt-cdrom but still get the same error when updating.
The funny thing is it wants update Ubuntu 11.10 and I have 12.04
What am I missing. Thanks for any help on this.
Jake
