Partially. That doesn't stop zeitgeist from writing to
~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel and
~/.local/share/zeitgeist/activity.sqlite. So your 'history' is still
available. Also, I found that unless you specifically add the
folder/directory that you don't want shown (example /Video) in
System|Privacy|Files, Dash will still show the files in that folder
automatically when you click on the 'Video' icon. Unfortunately, that
also blocks all Dash searches into your local ~/Video folder & instead
only performs online searches only (Amazon, YouTube, TED, etc)...
whether you like it or not.
