OK. But what about pavucontrol settings (if you are using pulseaudio)?
[Just to show you how small things can stuff you up..... I have a 5.1
sound system. I noticed a while back that 3 of the speakers weren't
producing any sound - but I shrugged this off because the Creative Labs
setup is a bit aged. I was looking thru the catalogue of my favourite
computer shop a few minutes ago with the intention of ordering a new
Creative sound package when a thought occurred to me (happens to me
occasionally for some reason.....). I got down on my knees, pulled out
all the RCA plugs for the speakers from the woofer box, replugged them,
twisted them round and round - and suddenly I had all the 6 speakers
working! :-) ]
