I use Clementine (based on Amrok), for approx 2 years now with no 
problems, it is a fully featured music player that manages your library 
(will find missing album art etc) available in the repo's (now anyway 
used to be a PPA, but now in universe i think).

I have had no trouble with it and have recommended it to friends who are 
still using it, so they must be doing something right!
