Ubuntu and OpenShot

So I've been on the OpenShot forums with this over the last month -- I 
believe, starting with 12.10 there is a bug in OpenShot that pretty much 
renders the animated titles useless. If you try to create an animated 
title it uses a gray background instead of a transparency.

I've tested this with a fresh install of 13.04 and 12.10 (using 
ArtistX), as well as with Debian and Fedora. Both the Debian and Fedora 
distros did not have the problem. So it looks like the bug was 
introduced in 12.04 and is isolated to Ubuntu. Has anyone else 
experienced this (or can anyone else test this)?

 From what I've gleaned from the OpenShot forums, they won't be 
bothering to fix the issue as they are concentrating on getting 2.0 
ready for an end of year release.
