You might also want to address the cure for the problem I had on that
elderly Thinkpad of mine. Reduce the resolution via an edited
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file which you outlined, Liam.
Now, youtube videos and DVD movies play just fine. Before it was a
stuttering mess. Thanx Liam! Ric
