I think he has to watch out for the pop-up to agree to the license terms
installing from something like synaptic. Doing it command line, he would
have to know to use the tab key to switch "I don't accept" to "I agree"
and then hit return for it to proceed. If he doesn't agree, it will not
proceed returning an error "unable to install". The install wrongly
concludes that he isn't willing to agree. But, he must agree and
consciously switch from the state of not agreeing to agreeing, in order
to REALLY AGREE! <grins>
Once that agreement is done, future installs or updates will not demand
agreement unless he wipes his harddrive for a fresh install which erases
record of that agreement locally. Ric
