Realtek 8111e vs. Precise

PCI - it was an old one.  I actually put two in in case one of them
didn't work, but the first one was fine all the way.

My issue is that when I buy a piece of new hardware, I expect it to
function as stated.  In this case, if this went wrong on the
motherboard up front, what else could go wrong later?

I took it back and got a Gigabyte, but when I got it home I realized
it had no SATA III ports (I misread the spec: SATA 3Gb/s != SATA III),
so I need a more expensive one (damn).

Then the power supply died.  <sigh>

It's been a fun adventure.

Anyone have a recommendation/preference on ASUS vs. ASRock motherboards?
