A 120GB disk is small and very cheap these days - but that means old &
thus failure-prone. Any spinning medium is still highly failure-prone.

A 120GB Flash drive, OTOH, is quite big and still expensive...
£60-£100 here. And they fail too and when they do it's with no
warning.

Even if you have several, if the house burns down or you get burgled,
they all go with it.

Neither onsite nor offsite backup alone is good, but the happy medium
is some cheap instances of both, working together.
