Kiosk-Mode User for a School Librery

Hi,

I am putting together an old computer for a school library.

I've already install Ubuntu 12.04 on it, creating the first user as the
admin user.

I'd like to create an additional user and lock it down to sort of a Kiosk
Mode. I only want that specific to be affected.

I want to white list specific apps on the Dash menu, and hide the rest.
I want to remove entries from the Cog menu to prevent the said user from
entering the system settings (actually, I want to hide the entire Cog menu
from him).

Basically - I want the user to be able to use only what's on the Unity
Launcher and hide the rest.

Is there a simple way to do it?

I prefer to cut and paste commands to the console...

Thanks!

Amichai.
