with the focus on tablets for 14.04 the new nexus 7 is likely to become
the reference device for this device class. work on porting to it is
already happening ...

(first images for it should show up within the next 6-8 weeks)

btw, we are generally over at the mailing list of
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone for all phone and tablet related
discussions ...
