Log-out issues

Here's an off-the-wall question while you're waiting for others to
answer: What's the size of your swap space on your hard drive? Set up
my first dual boot this week and so wanted to really understand the
partitioning process. In doing so, I stumbled upon something about an
inadequate size of swap partitions potentially causing hibernate
(suspend-to-disk) problems.

Yes, shutting down is a different process but in my mind's eye, it's
still kind of similar. Computer has to rapidly shuffle a BUNCH of
stuff around before the screen then goes blank on us seconds later,
the same way it does when it hibernates..

Disclaimer: I do understand that with hibernate, things go into limbo
waiting for us to come back and pick up where we left off.. Just
thinking maybe in some cases, it still might be that an unrecoverable
log jam maybe occurs on shutdown, too, if there's not enough free room
in all the right places during those split seconds before shutdown is
accomplished.

Just thinking out loud.. :)
