That's because you are used to an insecure operating system where you
run as the superuser all the time. This is a very bad idea.

So please stop criticising it and /learn/.

You are used to the Windows way. The Windows way is wrong. It's bad,
insecure and poorly-designed. Linux was better designed. As a result
it is more secure and you don't need antivirus or antispyware.

So please stop complaining about it and *learn*.

When you were booting from a demo disk, you were full of enthusiasm,
but you had not installed it yet and thus had not given it a real try.

Now you have. Now the real learning begins. All learning is hard at
first. Accept it, pick up the new skills and new knowledge, and move
on.
