You need to keep the list traffic in perspective. What gets posted on the
list are the problems and issues. What you don't hear from are the ones
that have not had a problem. They just finish a successful install and move
on without saying much. You can google for any issues with your hardware
and 14.04 and see what comes up. It will at least give some idea as to
what others are experiencing.
I use to intall the latest as soon as it comes out, but now I tend to give
it a few months for the dust to settle and the initial patches to be pushed
out to take care of the initial problems.
