Linux is not good for Desktop

My experience goes like this;

NEVER buy a printer for your linuxbox unless it's from HP !

I've tried Cannon, HP, Brother and a few others. Brothers driver
was so crappy it broke my system ! It couldn't be removed and
blocked the use of apt.

Currently I'm using a HP Officejet 6700 Premium on 'Trusty'
and everything worked (copy, scan, print) out of the box.
