Do you also have a default route in the router, directing traffic out
the WAN link? If not, that's the problem.

You don't mention it, but if packets are getting to the inside interface
of the router (10.0.0.1) you must have a default route on the server
pointing to the router...?

It's unusual for commodity ADSL routers not to have a default route over
the WAN link by default, but check it.

Another possibility is that the ISP uses RFC1918 addresses for it's
clients and you happen to have chosen the same address range for
internal use, though the traceroute doesn't look quite right for that.

Can you get to the Internet from the server?
