Thunderbird and Lightning invite attendees problem

I'm using Thunderbird 24.4.0 with Lightning 2.6.4 on Ubuntu 13.10 with
Unity interface. (I've also tried this on Mint 16 Cinnamon with the same
results.)

When I use the 'Invite Attendees feature in Lightning, the window is not
right. The top of the left hand panel which contains the list of
invitees does not line up properly with the right-hand panel showing
their availability.

It appears OK on Windows 7.

Anyone else seeing this? I've tried googling but no luck. Any
suggestions welcomed!
