Running Ubuntu on Lenovo Laptops

I realize it's a different [model] so it's like comparing apples to
oranges under the hood but I've got a ThinkPad T61 that came with
Ubuntu 12.04. Turned out to be an efficient, reliable teaching tool..
Meaning that I've been able to spend Life's finite amount of available
time learning more in depth about Debian based software rather than
spending that same time solely fighting both software installation and
then consistency/usability post-install.... :)

As they say, though >> YMMV :D

PS Disclaimer: System does "burp" occasionally. Hibernation/suspension
(after 3 minutes), as an example, slips a cog once in a while and
doesn't function immediately after fresh reboot. Next reboot, it will
be back in sync with no intervention so hm. :)
