NO 64bit option to create a new Virtualbox machine

In the motherboard's bios, (newer systems call this UEFI) there used to be
an option to enable or disable APIC. I think these days it's just always on,
and you no longer have the option.

There is also often an option to enable VT. Make sure this is enabled. 

You have to hit a key at boot to enter the bios options area. (CMOS)
