Running 'gnome-session-properties' shows:

chris at localhost:~$ gnome-session-properties
The program 'gnome-session-properties' is currently not installed. You
can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install gnome-session-bin
chris at localhost:~$ sudo apt-get install gnome-session-bin
[sudo] password for chris:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
gnome-session-bin is already the newest version.

The 2nd link you sent is exactly the same as the above. Now, since the
bug is still present in 14.04.1 do I need to add to it or just let it go
and see if it will get fixed?
