+1

I hit the same brick wall 18mths ago, finished with me taking my blu-ray
drive back to PC World and demanding my money back!

Ironically I found that I could rip the disk's, convert / compress the
resulting file, and then presumably upload to an "illegal" download
site and feed the very piracy the "competent & sane" law makers are
trying to prevent ;D
(then of course I could d-l it onto my phone / tablet / laptop and watch
the movie I had bought legally on the train!!)

One day maybe, the media we spend our hard earned on, will be available
for us to view on any device we choose, unfortunately for now if we buy
a blu-ray disk we *must* also watch it in a manner the law makers deem
fitting!

Rant over!
