Gwenview?

a test, I created a new temporary (and presumably clean) user account.  
I still get the same problem.  When I do an Internet search about the 
problem, it seems that there might be a bug in the new version of Gwenview.

Has anybody heard of the same problem?  I use Gwenview because it seems 
to be the only viewer that can directly display GIMP .XCF files.  aIs 
there some other viewer that can do this?  A solution to the Gwenview 
problem would be preferred.
