Hot damn! Someone has been working on whatever is behind the network icon
on the task bar, I was actually able to use the config stuff it brought
up to configure a 1 machine network that actually worked! So the
install is proceeding apace.
Many thanks to whoever fixed that, I owe you at least a case of suds.
