Thanks Andrew. I was trying to use the more precise and economical
methods, but they are starting to cost me a fair amount of time for
these very modest goals. If I can't get things to behave I'll fall back
on skel and be glad for it.
(I may not have posted about it here, but I've already figured out how
to nicely propagate extensions to new users. It seemed like I was just
10 yards from the goal line at that point, but then the going got rough.)
