I sincerely apologize for being a bit impatient. 

Thanks for the replies on this topic. 

After doing a little research, I found that I can install Ubuntu studio from the terminal using apt-get. I already have 14.04.1 on DVD, so it looks like I’ll be able to install 14.04 from that and then upgrade to Ubuntu studio. (Which is something I’ve been trying to get installed.)


Though it sort of looks like I answered my own question, I thank you all for your time and advice. Petter Adsen, thanks for giving me good guidelines for using the mailing list. I appreciate it. Oh, and the mail client that I use seems to have some weird formatting issues, so when I hit Return once for a single line gap between paragraphs, the mailinglist seems to interperate that as two Returns. I’ll try to not hit Return, but if you see any posts of mine that are like that, you know what’s happening.
