The user should consider to take a look at  jwm  and/or  openbox.
Regarding the menu, the user might want to use  fbpanel  and/or
lxpanel  instead of jwm's panel. For the file manager IMO  spacefm and
for the terminal IMO  roxterm  is the best solution. For the wallpaper I
recommend to run  feh , but a XP user perhaps want a "desktop", so
instead of using feh, the user perhaps want to run  spacefm --desktop .

I prefer openbox over jwm, don't use a "desktop", but feh. I'm from
Linux, not from XP, but I guess it fits to the work-flow of XP users
too.
