Hi Amaury,

you can set FRONTEND_BACKGROUND as a Kernel option and place your 
palette in /etc/newt/palette.XYZ

Example:
FRONTEND_BACKGROUNG=amaury
you have to create the file /etc/newt/palette.amaury

If you have problems with readability i think there is a accessibility 
button(F5?) during the start of the installation.
