Lightdm can do most/all of these, I can verify number 2-4 right now.
I'm not entirely sure about the first, but I've never noticed a user
list. I think there is a setting in the config file for this.
In the Xubuntu "Settings Manager" there is even a GUI to enable/disable
and position the functionality you want, I have no idea what package
it comes from. Lightdm can use a variety of "greeters" that can be
themed, so it should be a good fit for what you want.
