OK. I ran the live CD on the desktop machine where I am seeing the
problem. The live cd acts exactly like my install of 14.04. If I go to
settings (no Unsettings present) and change the menus to appear in the
title bar when I mouse over a menu in Firefox the pointer changes to a
hand and I must tap and release the mouse button very quickly to get the
menus to drop down.
