Indeed, everything a cookie stores, is anyway known by the website you
visit, so during a session the cookie does not add that much bad
offended privacy, if any during a session. However, since the IP could
change for the next session, the cookie could become an issue if we
don't delete it, so it's wise to delete cookies after a session is
finished. Btw. I often allow cookies, but delete them during sessions,
this is an easy way to e.g. empty a cart.

Not to allow cookies often gains nothing or less.

Btw. mobile phones in general and tablet WiFi are another issue. A
mobile phone tracks you as soon as it's turned on, a tablet PC with geo
data turned off, in flight mode, tends to interrupt the usage of apps by
asking you to log into your foo bar account and things like this, again
and again and again and again, until you are giving up.
