deja-dup issue

Thanks for the backintime tip.  I downloaded, installed and ran it and 
it seems great, not too much, not too little.  The chasing it down 
effort (links, reviews, etc.) sent me to another interesting program, 
ping, a disk imaging program that uses a live copy of Linux, so no OS is 
required.
