The OP should keep in mind, that the history could be useful, if there
should be the need to backtrace the latest commands, assumed something
unwanted happened. The history not necessarily should be used as a list
of often used commands, but should be considered as a log file. In case
of emergency "erasedups" could become a disadvantage, even "ignoredups"
could become a drawback, assumed there should be the need to count how
many times, one after the other, the last commands was/were executed.
