Overprovisioning is only important/useful in the absence of Trim.

Still useful in some cases, (Using SSD's on RAID, for example, Not every 
raid implementation will support TRIM, and some that supposedly do have 
proven disastrously buggy.)

Personally, I prefer a daily cron job to run fstrim (Where applicable)
