Update: Just discovered Boot Repair -
http://sourceforge.net/projects/boot-repair-cd/
I burnt the cd and put in the Win 7 and once it loaded I selected the
Restore MBR option. It fixed the MBR problem and was able to boot Win 7
and finish installing SP1.
So if anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation this works.
One thing to mention it takes a while for it to load and become
functional. There is not a lot of info on the screen about it's progress
so just be patient.
