You are even more frugal than me, Ralf. I would never buy a cut-down
CPU such as a Celeron, for instance.

FWIW I have 2 LCDs on my 2nd-hand 2011 Mac mini.

The left is an AOC 2639M, 24" with DisplayPort & HDMI. The right is a
Samsung S22D300, HDMI and SVGA.

Both cost me about €100 each, second hand, boxed and as new. An HDMI
cable was about €5. The mini-DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cable was,
unfortunately, about €40.
