Xen, I appreciate the thought but a) I don't have Win 10, though I can use 7) and b) that's an hours long waste of time unless it can actually point me at the exact problem - EXCEPT for being able to update the boot PROM. That makes the idea wortwhile IMNSHO. Thanks for elaborating.
