The gopro is tiny, records sound and GPS, does 30 fps @ 3840x2160, and 
actually fits behind my rear-view mirror so doesn't block my vision.

In my little truck, I've mounted cams low on the rear window because its 
about 6 inches behind me.

Of course there are other options by other companies that attach to the 
mirror or mount on the dash, etc, but they tend to be lower quality.

Anyway, all the dash cam video from Russia is what got me using them 
years ago, so I guess whatever cams are a best-seller in Russia might be 
worth trying.
