Inplace Upgrade with Symbios RAID Controller

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade in place from 16.04 LTS Server to 18.04 LTS Server.

As the server is somewhere in a rack i don't want to brick it by upgrading to Nirvana.

I would like to upgrade but I'm not sure if some software from outside the repo might be necessary.

lspci shows:   02:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2008 [Falcon] (rev 03)
