Btw. I suspect the other attempts didn't work regarding variable and/or
dbus issues. A correct workaround might be usage of
'dbus-launch --some-option' or no dbus-launch at all as well as no
manually setting of variables, but instead of using 'sudo -u' usage of
'gksudo -u'.

However, I suspect that it will work with booting in a
container by 'systemd-nspawn' and logging in as dan.
