I've used the builds directly from Mozilla for several years due to
crashes etc with the Ubuntu versions. Obviously others will insist that
you run the distro build, but in the event that you'd like to give a
direct build a try (download, extract, run from a user folder - or
install with Ubuntuzilla) see:

Outside of SeaMonkey, my favorite:
