18.04 has no support for my printer

Sometimes having someone try to fix it in person is helpful. I had to sort
out a trackpad not responding problem on a laptop for someone in Contact,
today. Being physically present made the process less onerous.

So I would suggest you find a local Linux User Group and see if they can
help you in person.
