OK, thanks. Looks like parcellite has been replaced by clipit, which
gets better reviews - both are in the Ub S/W listing. Also doesn't seem
to impact KDE as does klipper, but since it is Gnome oriented, will it
**actually work** with KDE pgms - THAT is the current problem. Seems
like KDE stores clipboard info differently. Does running a pgm like
that set up a DIFFERENT place to store clipboard info so it can be
used by any pgm?

Did this always work between ANY Gnome/KDE/MATE/etc pgms you run?

Lots listed there, didn't see mention of klipper though. I'm not
running Plasma, but installing KDE apps does bring in lots of KDE stuff.
