I like the easy ones: no, it won't.  This isn't the place to do bug 
reports, though what you've written is fairly decent and likely to be 
helpful.  (Though any corresponding log errors you may have would also 
be of assistance.)  Assuming this is an Ubuntu system, I suggest going 
to Launchpad, creating an account, and submitting a bug report.  See
