For the most part I'm a mirror to you, I need Excel (VBA & all that) but
LibreOffice Write does (almost) all I need for documents, I would miss a couple
of Macros
1) display fractions (other than supplied by normal font base)
2) prep bank transction data
3) batch strip HTML from documents
4 & 5) Speak/stop Speaking documents
6) send docs to my E-mail client
7) Add headers for test papers (a very old macro from 1999)
But all this can be done
I did manage to install Off2k3 (Just Access, Excel & Word) under Wine, but as
you have noted that was as far as I got, WineHQ shows Off2k3 as working well
under Wine (current ver IIRC) in fact it "claims" Office upto 2013 works, looks
like I will try again
