Enable soundcard?

To assist those reading this link: if you don't have lshw, install it, then run it.
It should tell you what your sound system is. (I assume lshw is available in Ubuntu.
If it's not there should be a deb file somewhere that you can install.)
lshw lists all the hardware that it finds in your system.
