OK, thanks, have now set it up like that and all good so far.
I have recently discovered Ansible and it is fantastic. A bit of
extra time the first time you install and setup something and you end
up with the ability to easily replicate across systems, or to rebuild
a system when necessary, etc.
I don't bother keeping image copies of my Pi sd cards now, I can
rebuild them from scratch easily. Not that that is anything to do
with the subject line or even Ubuntu, but got to break the rules
occasionally.
