Excellent observation. I had forgotten that, because I normally use i3
and never need/want to have "always on top" windows".
"always on top" + having figured out how to start and stop recording
with hotkeys, when the simplescreenrecorder windows is minimized is
almost all I need to get started.
The only thing I am still missing is what to use for webcam interface
instead of cheese. As is, it occupies screen space with the buttons
and slider below the window, and that is not good. I need to have on
screen only what the webcam sees, with a border as thin as possible.
