Is adding the Uncomplicated Firewall (UFW) a waste of time?

P.S.

Then I did....
sudo systemctl disable ufw

... and then I rebooted and did...
systemctl status ufw

... which shows that UFW is "inactive (dead)"...

... and now I will see, over time, if this has fixed it :)
